Our annual Something Old, Something New Wedding Fayre took place in February 2017 – and it was the best yet!

The fayre had the highest attendance ever, and we welcomed over 250 brides and grooms from Devon and further afield.

Lots of local suppliers exhibited at the fayre, including photographers, bakers, wedding dress suppliers and transport suppliers. This fabulous array of wedding inspiration inspired our couples to support local businesses from North Devon whilst making their wedding visions come true with bespoke items for their big day.

On the day, The Old Barn was transformed into an idyllic wedding venue (see the photographs here), dressed by Ambience Venue Styling – see beautiful images from the day here and above. There were over 20 viewings of the venue too, showcasing the possibilities of one of North Devon’s only DIY wedding venues to brides and grooms to be.

Lyn Barefoot, owner of Barefoot Nails and Beauty, who organises our fayre said: “Organising the Wedding Fayre is always extremely exciting and we love the passion that local suppliers show annually. This year’s event certainly didn’t disappoint!”

Tara Stanbury, partner at The Milky Way & Old Barn was delighted with the fayre’s success. “I’d love to thank everyone for their ongoing support in the Something Old, Something New Wedding Fayre,” she said. “Now the 2017 event is over, it’s time to begin looking forward to how we can make the 2018 fayre bigger and better than ever before.”

Emma Evans, owner of North Devon Wedding was also very pleased. “What an amazing Wedding Fayre,” she said. “It’s great seeing how local suppliers unite and help engaged couples plan the most important day of their lives! Couples from all around the country attended, which was great to see.

“The Old Barn was dressed beautifully by Ambience Styling, showing off the full potential of the gorgeous venue and we’d like to thank everyone for coming along and supporting this annual fayre!”
