Ceremonies
With exposed oak beams, stone walls and vine-clad conservatory, The Old Barn is a beautiful wedding or civil ceremony venue in North Devon countryside.
Combining the old with the new and the unique with the traditional, our 17th century barn and adjoining conservatory make the perfect setting for couples who want a totally unique day – with a surprise after party.
Its beautifully simple decor makes The Old Barn a stunning blank canvas that can be embellished to suit any theme – such as vintage, rustic, festival or boho. And, being a DIY wedding venue, you’re invited to get as creative as you like – see some photos of real weddings at The Old Barn to see how other couples styled their big day.
Of course, some couples prefer to hold their wedding or civil ceremony elsewhere, then come to us for their celebrations – and that’s fine with us! See here for details about barn wedding receptions at North Devon’s The Old Barn.
Wedding & civil ceremony locations around our venue
Attached to the barn and overlooking a private courtyard garden, the conservatory is covered in grape vines for much of the year. Licensed for over 100 people, it’s light and bright, with large windows overlooking the private courtyard garden, and is the most popular location for weddings and civil ceremonies.
Couples are also welcome to tie the knot in the historic barn itself – or even have a funfair wedding and get hitched on our dodgems!
